Society has portrayed the image they you want to have.
So now you don’t just want it. You need it. And people got so obsessed and absorbed in society's portrayal of perfection that if you don’t have it, you not worth it.
What society wants is a world that looks, talks and acts the same.
What the world has is a culture so diverse that its bare image alone is so crazily talented and filled with such beauty that it scares them, the people who control it.
So they tricked us.
They told us that natural beauty isn't natural at all; in fact it's not even beauty.
They told us that what we thought normal was freakish and gory.
They told us that being 200 lbs was borderline obesity.
Then, when seeing a 15 year old that weighs 90 lbs became so common to the eye, we lost our own meaning of beauty. We lost what we were made to be and we lost OUR normal and we lost our diverse beauty.
But no one sees that.
No one wants to.
I think what no one understands is that they're automatically judging the people they see - by what they're wearing, how they're face look, what size they are.
You judge them.
We all do, don't feel too bad.
But it’s your choice to follow the judgment, or to look past it and walk up to that person and start a conversation.
I mean, to be honest I think the reason people talk to me is because I fit the description society put out there, skinny with little curves. But then, as they get to know me, they know I'm not what society has made, but that I, no matter how small, help makes society.
I changed my ways because the moment I found myself, I didn't want anyone to change me. As all the little Soraya puzzle pieces fell into place, I taped it together and framed it. I know who I am and I refuse to change, ever flaw I have and every detail that life has etched into me is there for a reason and I live for a purpose. And I made the choice to define that purpose.
If you are you then do what you do. Because when you are you, life is open to make things come true.
