Lost In Translation

A fortune is gained,
A friend is lost,
A debt repaid,
But at what cost?

A message disguised by vexation,
Love is lost in translation,
Meanings are forgotten and words begin to destroy
A person,a spirit to never feeling joy.

Words hurt more than paper cuts,
More than violence and more than angry mutts,
It takes one syllable,One whisper in the wind,
To end a person’s life,
To commit a deadly sin.

Money is passed around and around,
It is never yours to keep,
Popularity never lasts, sometimes never found,
And even willows start to weep,
We only have each other in this big and nasty world,
A brother or a mother to fix us when we are burnt.
